who am i?

I AM ONE OF THE SEARCHERS

There are, I believe, millions of us. We are not unhappy, but neither are we really content. We continue to explore life, hoping to uncover its ultimate secret. We continue to explore ourselves, hoping to understand. We like to walk along the beach, we are drawn by the ocean, taken by its power, its unceasing motion, its mystery and unspeakable beauty. We like forests and mountains,, deserts and hidden rivers, and the lonely cities as well. Our sadness is as much a part of our lives as is our laughter. To share our sadness with one we love is perhaps as great a joy as we can know - unless it be to share our laughter.

We searchers are ambitious only for life itself, for everything beautiful it can provide. Most of all we love and want to be loved. We want to live in a relationship that will not impede our wandering, nor prevent our search, nor lock us in prison walls; that will take us for what little we have to give. We do not want to prove ourselves to another or compete for love.

For wanderers, dreamers, and lovers, for lonely men and women who dare to ask of life everything good and beautiful. It is for those who are too gentle to live among wolves.

who am i?

that is such a good question.. for it seemingly varies from day to day, month to month, year to year... but, when I think about it.. there is a foundation.. a kerilyn mold. So that’s who I’ll tell you I am.

giving myself a full umbrella of ways for me to express myself.

My son Leonardo (who is almost 10!) is literally the best thing that's ever happened to me. He has taught me more about myself, who I want to be and how far I'm willing to go to get there.

Nothing brings me greater joy than seeing more so I can evolve.

As a certified life coach for over 10 years (although I'm no longer in alignment with the coaching industry) I have helped SO MANY who come to me, learn to TRUST themselves, to do what they need to do to get to where they want to go.

I am honored when other people partner with me on their journey.

I have had my ETSY shop since 2006. Benchmark Greeting Cards are a passion project of mine. They have been there, like a good friend I haven't seen in a while. They say the things I wish I could say to the people in my life and perhaps, if you read them, you will find the same things.

I'm a writer

Never in a million years, if you would've asked my high school self if I would love writing as part of my purpose, I would've said no way. Since 2001, I started my writing journey with my college roommate, writing emails called "My High/Low" every day to which turned into a blog and then a website and now, regular stream of consciousness downloads that I am STILL so amazed, come out so fluently. Surprisingly, I absolutely LOVE expressing myself in words.

I am codependent and anxiously attached in recovery.

Since discovering in 2016 that I am codependent (and in 2023 that I'm anxiously attached) I am learning SO much about myself in an effort to heal myself, being the first one in my family to end the lineage of generational trauma and shame so I can teach my son a different way, and finally in order to serve my higher purpose. I am honored when others regularly come to me to hold their hand through their journey.

And I am still blown away, and honored that they do.

And I'm funny too.

Whether you see me in person over coffee, on a livestream, giving a talk or during a Daydreaming Session, you'll see I have a snarky and sarcastic sense of humor.

*usually. In person, I have to feel safe around you in order for my funny boner (i mean bone) to show up.
